Tolima has 38 coffee-growing districts, including Planadas, Ibagué and Chaparral, which are home to more than 60,000 families dedicated to coffee farming. The region has some 106,742 hectares of coffee plantations, and the most common varietals include Castillo, Cenicafé 1, Colombia and Tabí.
